Store chard in a bag in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Wash when ready to use. Blanch and freeze for longer storage.


How to Use It

Raw: use in hearty salads or add to soups and frittatas

Blanch: boil chopped greens for about 3 minutes, then place in ice water to cool quickly. Drain well, pat dry, and freeze for longer storage.

Blend: add fresh or frozen chard to fruit smoothies

Sauté: cook chopped greens on the stovetop with oil and garlic

Use the stems: cook chard stems along with the greens
