The number of turnips in a bunch or pound will vary depending on size.

Tokyo Turnips

1 pound of turnip roots = 6.5 servings raw or 5-6 servings cooked

1 pound of turnip greens = 3 servings cooked

Store turnips in the refrigerator. Roots will store for up to 2 weeks and greens about 3-5 days. Wash when ready to use.


How to Use It

Raw: slice thinly and eat with a dip or add to salads

Roast: cut into wedges and roast in the oven at 400°F for 20-25 minutes

Steam or stir-fry: steam or stir-fry chopped turnips until tender

Use in: soups and quick pickles

Eat the greens: turnip greens can be cooked like kale or collards. They have a peppery taste like mustard greens.
